Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh, my name is Farhiya Mohamud and I’m so excited to be teaching at Fort McMurray Islamic School this year! I’ve lived in Fort McMurray for almost ten years. I also completed my bachelor education in 2019 through Keyano College's cohort program with University of Alberta. This year I’ll be the teacher of kindergarten in the morning and grades five and six in the afternoon. It is my mission to build on your child's strengths while instilling a love for learning. My classroom is a nurturing environment in which your child will feel successful and proud! I’m looking forward to having a wonderful year.
