After School Tutoring Program
The Multicultural Association of Wood Buffalo in conjunction with FMIS is offering an after school tutoring program. The program accepts English Language Learning (ELL) students into a specialized tutoring program that builds confidence with the English language through reading, writing, speaking, listening, as well as providing support with homework and study skills. By improving their language and academic skills, student will be able to get more involved in school activities fostering an inclusive and diverse school environment.
Interested students can have their parents complete an application and pre-evaluation form. Students will be admitted based on academic and ELL need, commitment to the program, and space available. There is not cost and students will be expected to attend tutoring sessions twice a week held at FMIS. These sessions will be on Monday and Wednesday's from 3:10- 4:30 from October to May.
